GETTING THERE

Getting from Calgary International Airport (YYC) to the Venue

Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge is located in beautiful Kananaskis Country, approximately 90–110 km west of Calgary International Airport (YYC). The scenic drive through the foothills and into the mountains typically takes 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions.

Here are the transportation options:

 

Rental Car 

All major companies (Hertz, Avis, Enterprise, Budget, etc.) have counters at YYC.

Private Airport Transfer 

 

*We strongly recommend booking your return transfer to the airport at the same time.

 

Shared Shuttle Service

Brewster Express operates regular shuttles from Calgary Airport to Stoney Nakoda Resort (about 1 hour 10 minutes), with a complimentary connecting transfer provided by the Lodge to the venue (seasonal service available in September). Important Tips for September 2026

  • Book transportation early (return trip) 

  • September weather in Kananaskis is usually excellent, but mountain roads can have sudden changes.

  • Allow extra time if your flight arrives in the evening.

DIRECTIONS TO THE VENUE

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

  1. Exit the airport and follow signs to Highway 1 West (Trans-Canada Highway).

  2. Drive west for approximately 62 km.

  3. Take Exit 118 for Highway 40 South (Kananaskis Trail).

  4. Continue 23 km, then follow the signs for Kananaskis Village.

  5. Turn right onto Centennial Drive — the Lodge will be on your right.
